If you’ve been involved in any sort of car accident whether you think it’s severe or pretty minor, there’s a lot of things that can happen and occur. A lot of symptoms would be headaches, neck pain, mid back pain, or low back pain. Those would be the generalized terms that anybody in a car crash would start to feel.
Some people right after a crash don’t feel anything and that’s one of things that we see a lot. People will come in numerous weeks after a crash with delayed symptoms. That’s really, really common. What’s one of our fears is that those problems don’t get addressed properly, so here at the Denver Integrated Spine Center we really advise anybody to come in right after a crash, whether they think it is severe or not. The main thing is we want you to get a full workup, evaluation, exam, and if need be, we’ll take x-rays on the spot.
The main thing is that we want to make sure we can diagnosed everything because yes there can be simple symptoms that you think they are, but if they progress in any way, they can start to get a lot more severe. More severe would be including anything that would be radiation, which would be burning, tingling, numbness, sharp shooting type of pains into the arms and/or into the legs, that indicates a lot more severe type of symptomatology that’s going on.
If we would need then at that point to order any CT scans or MRIs, here at this facility we have the ability to do that. We work with a lot of individuals on a really close knit basis to make sure that everybody gets the proper testing done in a very efficient and timely manner.
